WEEKLY UPDATE | Week 9
Peace Riders! Here’s your weekly update on where we stand and what will be important this week.
Last week: Riders’ own Discord and Genesis Drop 5/5 announced When looking at weekly milestones, last week was rather calm compared to the ones before, but this doesn’t mean that behind the scenes the situation was the same: We have invested a lot of time and effort in setting up the Riders’ own Discord server and in creating the theme of our 5th and last Genesis drop, which we have announced yesterday. Therefore we are more than thrilled to share with you the blockchain-themed design of our last Genesis drop in #2 and to invite you to our Discord with this golden link:

This week #1: Building and growing Discord Most time this week will be directed into growing our Discord community and support the server administration in its starting phase (if there were any bugs, most of them would get noticed in this phase). There will be two admins from the Avalanche Riders team, Jay (jayvee) and Alain (avAlain). We don’t have reached out for any mods yet, so if you’d like to become a mod on the Riders’ Discord feel free to contact / DM us!
This week #2: 5th and last Genesis Drop This Friday, 4th of March 2022, 10PM CET we will drop our 5th and last batch of Genesis Riders on Kalao. With these 20 blockchain-themed Riders the Genesis collection counts 100 Riders in total and so will reach its maximum! As with all other Genesis drops, holding one of these Riders will also entitle you to an Avalanche Rider for our P2E once Phase 2 launches.
This week #3: Giveaway This week there will also be another Giveaway, most probably the last one for the Genesis collection. One of the aims of this Giveaway will be to grow our Discord community. Don’t miss your chance, Rider #81 could soon be yours! ;)
This week #4: Checking Medium Some surveys have been done as well last week, and one of them clearly showed the community being interested in using Medium (www.medium.com) as a place for project announcements, like the one you’re reading right now, rather than using the Chalet Lounge. We see that the log-in procedure is rather tideous and may deter new Riders from joining this space. We will therefore check out Medium to see what (dis)advantages there are, and are going to update you soon on whether announcements will be moved or stay.
