May Project Update
A lot has happened in the past month. Now it’s time to plan the future. Read a summary on what had happened and how the Riders’ near and far future looks like.
The last time we have shared a major project update, we have decided on transforming Avalanche Riders from a rather short-term, hype-driven project to a long-term and thought-through, serious project with some revolutionary new things. Instead of simply releasing a P2E as an “accessory” to our collection — like many NFT projects out there do as they have realized that P2Es sell — we wanted to provide something new, something that was never seen before. The results were an innovative staking system, a fairer way of minting, an app for our marketing, an extremely complex in-game economy and a rather long whitepaper. Meanwhile our 3D-artist created some dope renders of the first 3D Riders, our Twitter followers increased by a factor of 8, our Discord followers by a factor of 42 — what a ride, folks!
However, now is not the time to chill on our laurels but to play even harder! Here’s a list of what we have planned for our next steps.
- Our marketing has worked, let’s do some marketing!
The idea of the “Help, Earn, Win!” app is to have a centralized place for interactive marketing tasks. Until now, this has worked even better than we have expected, and we will put more and more tasks online as time advances. In the near future we also want to start Twitter spaces, where we can break down our complex concepts to detailed explanations, and connect even more with the Riders community. We further want to host AMAs with other NFT projects to increase engagement with the Avalanche NFT community, and we will hold some contests, for example to design stickers for our Discord.
We have also considered releasing Avalanche Riders merch, however this is not what we have prioritized atm — we will definitely keep you updated on this. - Litepaper
One of the major weaknesses of our project is the complex and interwoven in-game economy. Our Whitepaper covers almost thirty pages, and we can’t expect new investors to read through all of it in detail. This is why it’s of paramount importance to have these concepts summarized and simplified, which we will do in the form of a “litepaper”. The litepaper will be an infographic, at its best only one page long, displaying the most important concepts in a shortened form. This should help avoiding that new investors will go away only because they’re scared of long whitepapers. - 3D Rider collection and minting smart contract
Our next bigger milestone is the 3D collection needed for our P2E and the corresponding smart contract for minting these 3D Riders. Our devs and 3D artists will work in parallel to achieve this the fastest way possible, without cutting back on aesthetics, creativity and diversity of the NFTs.
A minting date will be announced once we’re closer to having finished the collection, but early enough to show everyone on Twitter how cool our Riders are going to be! 😉
Note that these are only some of the key points we will implement in the following weeks. There of course may always be smaller things coming as well that we have not listed here, but this would be even better , right?
Last but not least, we want to thank every Rider for their incredible support! We wouldn’t be close to what we have boasted about in the introduction of this article without you, the awesome Riders community! ❤️🏂 LFG Riders Gang!!
